Set up dual SIM
Use travel data without missing your usual calls and texts.

Settings → Cellular
Pick your travel eSIM as the mobile data line.
iOS usually names the new line “Personal”, not “FairWave”. Go to Settings → that line → Cellular Plan Label and rename it (e.g. “FairWave”) so you can tell it apart from your other eSIMs.

Tap your travel eSIM and turn on “Data Roaming”
That is how it gets a connection in your destination country.

On the same screen, keep your home SIM for calls and texts
So your verification codes keep arriving.

Tap your home SIM and turn off “Data Roaming”
To avoid charges from your carrier.
