Pixels are the easy case: if yours is a Pixel 3a or anything newer, it supports eSIM. That’s Google’s own list — 3a, 4, 4a, 5, 5a, 6, 6a, 7, 7a, Fold, 8, 8a, the 9, 10 and 11 families, and the 10a. From the Pixel 7 onward you can even run two eSIMs at once.
The only asterisk: the original Pixel 3 and 3 XL have the hardware, but Google’s support list starts at the 3a — so if you have a 3, treat it as “check with your carrier” rather than a yes.
The newest Pixels dropped the SIM tray
In the US, the Pixel 10, 10 Pro and 10 Pro XL are eSIM-only, as are the Pixel 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro XL. The 10 Pro Fold, 10a and 11 Pro Fold keep a nano-SIM slot. Either way the travel setup is the same: the travel eSIM installs alongside your home line, and you choose which one carries data under Settings → Network and internet → SIMs.
